Mycorrhizae means “fungus - root”. Beneficial fungi forms association with plant roots and form a dense network of complex root system. This association increases the available surface area for absorption of plant nutrients from soil by 0 to 1000 times thereby greatly improving the ability of the plants to utilize the soil resource.
Mycorrhizal fungi synthesises powerful chemicals and releases it into the soil. This helps in dissolving hard to capture nutrients such as phosphorous, iron and other "tightly bound" soil nutrients.
